About Coragen Insecticide

Coragen Insecticide is an FMC product. It contains Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% w/w SC. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide from the anthranilic diamide group, recommended for controlling selected insect pests in agricultural crops.

Coragen Insecticide is used against stem borer, leaf folder, diamond back moth, bollworms, early shoot borer, top borer, stalk borer, internode borer, fruit borer, tobacco caterpillar, green semilooper, girdle beetle, pod borer, fruit and shoot borer, leaf caterpillars and spotted stem borer. It is recommended on rice, cabbage, cotton, sugarcane, tomato, chilli, soybean, brinjal, pigeon pea, Bengal gram, black gram, bitter gourd, okra, maize, groundnut and green gram.

  • Method of Application

Foliar Spray: Apply Coragen Insecticide as a foliar spray using a manually operated sprayer, foot sprayer or farm machinery operated sprayer fitted with a hollow cone nozzle. For sugarcane, follow setts drenching and soil drench application as per crop stage.

  • Best Time to Spray

Spray Coragen Insecticide when the pest population reaches Economic Threshold Level. For crops other than sugarcane, use it preferably during the vegetative stage or at the onset of flowering stage. Do not spray in windy conditions, and repeat the spray if rainfall occurs within 24 hours after application.

  • Wear gloves, mask, full sleeve clothing, and safety goggles while spraying.
  • Do not spray on windy days to prevent spray drift.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or applying the product.
  • Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly after spraying.
  • Keep out of reach of children, pets, and livestock.
  • Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
  • In case of accidental ingestion, inhalation, or eye exposure, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew beetle leaves while handling the product.
  • Wear long sleeve shirt, long pants, chemical resistant gloves, mask, goggles and covered shoes while handling the product.
  • Avoid spray drift onto grazing animals or neighboring areas.
  • Do not blow the spray nozzle with mouth.
  • Clean blocked nozzle with a thin stem or brush.
  • Wash exposed body parts with soap and plenty of water after handling and before eating, drinking or smoking.
  • Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
  • Do not enter the treated area for 24 hours after spraying.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, food, feed, fertilizers, and water sources. Keep the product in its original sealed container.

Store the product in a separate room or storage area away from rooms or premises used for storing food articles. Keep the product under lock and key.
